Our Sweet Valentine

Savannah is going to be a mover and a shaker. She is rolling over like a pro now and is starting to scoot. She is also teething which is not fun. She is drooling and putting everything in her mouth. We have come to the conclusion that baby proofing is a big priority in the house and we have warned Izzy that her peaceful days are numbered. She is fascinated with Izzy. She wants to pet, lick--yes I know gross, and squeeze her all the time. Izzy is great with her and just lets her do whatever. I am not so sure that she will love it so much when Savannah can crawl and get to her whenever she likes.

Katie and Drew came to visit over the past weekend, so Savannah was able to spend some quality time with her Aunt and soon-to-be Uncle. They were able to see just how much she has grown and how much she loves her food--yummy carrots:-) Katie and Matt battled it out in Pac-Man and also went ice skating. It was a fun time but like always too short.

Savannah and I started our Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) class last Thursday. This is a wonderful program that the state of MN offers to all parents/children. The program is for children ages 0-4. It offers 3 different baby classes like what we are in and then 1 & 2 year old classes and pre-school. All of the classes follow the curriculum of the school district which makes it easier for the child to transition to kindergarten. In our class, which we will take this semester and then in the fall due to Savannah's birthday, we learn about developmental skills and just have a supportive network of parents. There are only 4 kids in Savannah's class because it was all the people that were on a wait list. Education classes and play groups are very competitive in this area. So far we are on 3 wait lists for other classes in the Spring. Pretty much if you don't get on the ball you don't ever get in. However, it is nice to have a small class. Savannah is the only girl and is the oldest so she is the top dog in her class :-)

Matt has this week off from traveling--thank goodness. Next week he is going to Las Vegas for 6 days for a big meeting. Then he will have about 2-3 weeks off before he travels again. He has been very busy with surgeries and meetings so it is great to have him home this week. We are looking forward to the first half of March because we will actually have a little bit of a normal schedule for a few weeks.

Well that is about it for now. We will send out another update in a few weeks. I have attached a gallary of some photos and a video of Savannah rolling over. Enjoy!
