Some Sparkeling New Appliances

This week has been full of finishing up projects. Matt & our neighbor, Kenny, have been working on taping, mudding, sanding, & repeating those steps 3x in our 4th level. By the end of today, they hope to have it completed & move to the ceiling. I really don't know what we would do without our fabulous neighbors. Matt is going to take a day off this week & hopefully we will be at a place next weekend where we can schedule the carpet installers.

This weekend our new appliances came!!! YIPPY! I have already baked two batches of cookies:-). Matt says I am obsessed because I just stand in the kitchen & stare at them--they are like my new babies. We never knew how loud our old refrigerator was until we got the new one. Savannah loves the appliances too! She can stand in front of the oven & watch cookies bake. She also loves to put her little hands all over the stainless steel to see the prints it leaves behind:-). Thanks goodness for stainless steel cleaner.

This week is going to be another busy one. Matt leaves in 8 days for New Orleans to go to a big work conference for 6 days:-(. But Rosie is coming to stay with us while Matt is gone:-). So this week is crunch time for the remodeling & for cleaning because right now all you can do is open the guest room door. It looks like a storage center & I'm pretty sure Rosie is going to want a bed not endless boxes:-). We also want to get our house on the market soon so those first time home buyers can use their tax credit on our home:-).

Well I am off to go paint a dresser & finish laundry while my wild monkey sleeps:-). She has already had 3 outfits on today so I would like to keep her out of the paint so we don't make it 4!

Think Spring...

It is beautiful sunny & 30 here today. It feels like spring (well at least in MN). We are suppose to have lots of sunshine & 30 degree weather--just makes my heart happy.

HOUSE UPDATE:
The master bath is finished!!! YIPPPY. I will post pictures this weekend. The only thing left on the upper level is changing out some closet doors & putting in a closet organizer in the master bedroom--easy stuff. Our new appliances are being delivered this weekend & I am like a kid a Christmas:-).

Matt is going to work on the 4th level this weekend with the help of our fabulous neighbor Kenny. We are hoping to have it done in the next week so we can have all our new carpet laid. Things are coming together finally & it doesn't feel like such a huge obstacle. We have had a few houses go on the market in our neighborhood & well we are a little concerned because the prices are drastically low. Hopefully all our hard work will not be in vain.... We will see soon enough. Hope all is well with everyone & look for pictures of the house soon.

Super Fan!!

We have had a crazy week. Last weekend we ripped out the master bath & tiled the shower & floor. Then Matt had a very unexpected 2 day trip to Utah for a surgery; which meant that all of the stuff in our bathroom is now scattered through out the house--not great with a toddler & crazy dog. Izzy figured out how to get into a Rubbermaid tote & chewed/ate all of our children's benadryl, Savannah had a fun taking a whole box of Kleenex & making "snow," and Matt & I have just had fun tripping over & stubbing our toes on boxes, totes, & tools. Needless to say we are ready to have our bathroom back. Hopefully, before National Anthem of the Super Bowl we will have our space back.

Savannah & I have been busy making some blue & white treats for Super Bowl Sunday. You can see our simple creations in the slide show. However, as resident crazy person in our house I have taken the love for our Colts one step further.... Wait until you see it. If you hear about a riot in Minneapolis due to a crazy Colt's supporter--yep it was me:-). Hope every one has a great weekend. Support our Colts to a Super Bowl victory & stay safe in all the snow!!

P.S. Izzy is fine. She just slept for about a day. Savannah has a bad cold so our Super Bowl party got cancelled:-(. BUT we know a COLTS victory is just the right medicine:-).
