All Bundled Up...

Savannah & Matt had a fun weekend of playing in the snow.  Although we got nothing like our friends in MN(& we are very thankful that we only have a few inches), it was still enough to make a snowman, sled, shovel & just throw around.

 Where did my hands go?

If you can make out the blur of Izzy's tail, you can see everyone was excited to play in the snow.
Snowman on the left & Izzy defending our yard on the right.  Izzy barked & growled at the poor snowman until the freezing rain crumbled it.
She waddled when she walked like a penguin--very cute:-)
 She  loves her daddy!

We also decorated Christmas cookies.  After 6 years I have finally mastered the Bucher Family Sugar Cookies.  I'm sure that baby Adilyn will enjoy eating them for real next Christmas:-).  Savannah had a very hard time understanding we are not going to eat every cookie just make them look "pretty"(or as edible as a 2 yr old can decorate).  Matt called dibs on all her cookies because they were drenched in icing:-).

Then she found the bowl of red hots
This is the face I got after explaining that we weren't going to eat all the cookies.  Not liking our approach:-).  She learned from someone, ahem-I have no clue who that was, that if you "break" one then well you have to eat it.  We managed to only have 2 cookies out of 4 dozen so I call that a win.

Hope everyone is having a great week & staying safe & warm!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

(View from our front door.  Yes, I know MN friends this is just a dusting of the white stuff :-D)

The snow is falling.  To my surprise, I am actually pretty excited about it.  We went outside today & caught snowflakes.  Savannah loves the snow.  She likes to sing "Wet it Snow, Wet it Snow & Fwosty the Snowman."  It's pretty cute in her 2 year old voice as she hops back & forth & bobs her head.

Christmas baking has begun in our house.  So far Savannah & I have made 4 batches of chocolate-walnut fudge & peanut butter fudge,  4 dozen ginger cookies, & 3 dozen buckeyes.  Our neighbors were pretty excited about Christmas treats & Matt's co-workers are getting there treats next week.  On the list this week is decorating & making sugar cookies.  Last year Savannah just ate the icing & cookies we gave her to decorate (smart kid) & I imagine it will be the same this year.

Thankfully we have all of our Christmas shopping done & we are finishing up the wrapping today.  It's nice to know that its all done & we can just enjoy the rest of December.  I really don't want to set foot in another mall or department store in 2010:-).

Our tree looks so little in the 12 ft room:-).  Oh well maybe next year Santa will have a bigger tree to put gifts under.

Last week at 27 weeks.

The newest stocking on our mantle for baby Adilyn Grace.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday afternoon & great week!
