Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

(View from our front door.  Yes, I know MN friends this is just a dusting of the white stuff :-D)

The snow is falling.  To my surprise, I am actually pretty excited about it.  We went outside today & caught snowflakes.  Savannah loves the snow.  She likes to sing "Wet it Snow, Wet it Snow & Fwosty the Snowman."  It's pretty cute in her 2 year old voice as she hops back & forth & bobs her head.

Christmas baking has begun in our house.  So far Savannah & I have made 4 batches of chocolate-walnut fudge & peanut butter fudge,  4 dozen ginger cookies, & 3 dozen buckeyes.  Our neighbors were pretty excited about Christmas treats & Matt's co-workers are getting there treats next week.  On the list this week is decorating & making sugar cookies.  Last year Savannah just ate the icing & cookies we gave her to decorate (smart kid) & I imagine it will be the same this year.

Thankfully we have all of our Christmas shopping done & we are finishing up the wrapping today.  It's nice to know that its all done & we can just enjoy the rest of December.  I really don't want to set foot in another mall or department store in 2010:-).

Our tree looks so little in the 12 ft room:-).  Oh well maybe next year Santa will have a bigger tree to put gifts under.

Last week at 27 weeks.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday afternoon & great week!

AZ Trip

Matt had a business trip to Scottsdale, AZ last week & I tagged along. It was our first trip away from Savannah ever. It was very hard to leave her and the first 24 hrs were the worst, but we had a great time. Savannah had a great time with Nana, Papaw & Uncle Darby at home too:-).

Here are a few pictures from our trip...

Fall Fun

Fall has blown in with a force! The leaves have turned brillant shades of red, orange and gold, the air is crisp and this is the first year in my life that I can truly say I am so happy for fall. We have had a blast picking out pumpkins, eating dozens of honeycrisp apples, taking long walks in the evening watching the sun set on the lake, eating s'mores and painting pumpkins. Here are a few pictures from this fall...

It's a ________.......

Last Friday we had our 2nd trimester ultrasound for our little one.  We found out that we are having another baby girl:-).  She is very healthy & VERY active.  She gave the ultrasound tech a run for her money.  We are excited to meet her in Feb. & can't wait for Savannah to have a little sister.  Matt is a little worried & decided that a bow flex or maybe taser for the teenage years(for the boyfriends) are in his near future-haha.

Here are the 1st pictures of little Snowflake...
She looks so much like Savannah's 4D pictures

                                              Crossing her legs.
The Dr's exact words to Matt, "sorry no acorns."  I laughed so hard.

A Fancy 2nd Birthday

Today is Savannah's 2nd Birthday!  I can't believe she is 2 & we have another little one on the way.  Matt & I feel so blessed to have our beautiful little girl & can't wait for her to become a big sister.  We celebrated Savannah's birthday on Sunday with all her grandparents, aunts, & uncles--whew our family is getting big but we love it.

Savannah had a Fancy Nancy party.  For everyone that doesn't know who Fancy Nancy is, well she Savannah's favorite book character who LOVES everything fancy & french.  So we had a Fancy party for our little Fancy Savannah.  Since I go a bit, ah hem, crazy when it comes to parties--I took the theme very seriously.  Savannah had a Fancy cake, Fancy outfit, Fancy invites, & well you get the idea:-).  Poor Daddy is just praying for a boy after Sunday with a house full of glitter, pink, purple, & lots of tierras.

We took a few pictures--not being funny we didn't take that many.  We are not great at remembering to turn our camera on for important events.  But I am sure that Savannah's aunts & uncles have a few extra pics that they will share & I will forward along.

Enjoy the pictures below!

Last days of summer

The past week Matt has been on vacation.  Unfortunately, the week has gone way too fast but we have had a lot of fun & got a lot of projects done on the house.  We spent a few days in St Joe, MI enjoying the last few days of summer at the beach, eating ice creams at Kilwin's, & watching the sunset over Lake Michigan.  We also went to my parents house & spent an afternoon in the pool.  It was great to get away & get some time with Matt before his hectic travel schedule begins for the fall.

That was the fun part of vacation.  Phase 2, I like to call our workcaton.  We had new mulch delivered, painted Savannah's room, power washed, stained the deck, worked on projects for Savannah's birthday party & planted mums.  I know you are jealous...  Unfortunately, we still have 5 more rooms to paint & some misc. furniture to paint.  But it was a good start to the projects & hopefully the rest are done before baby #2 arrives.

Speaking of baby #2, I had my 15 week appointment on Friday.  We are both doing great & healthy:-).  The baby's heartbeat came way down to the 130s.  4 more weeks & we find out whether our little snowflake is a boy or a girl.  Oct. 1st can't come fast enough for us!

Hope you enjoy the pictures!  (Double click the link below)
